Maintenance Technician - 3rd shift

This full time position is located in St. Marys ,Oh ; however please expect receiving calls from a 952 number in case you are considered. Relocation assistance is not provided.
This is a 3rd shift position (11:00 pm - 7:30 am).

Position Purpose
The Maintenance Technician is a highly skilled position responsible for performing general preventative maintenance responsibilities. It will also entail having general knowledge around machinery, plant flow, scheduling repairs housekeeping duties in the facility, safety, and training other associates in the plant. This position works cross-functionality with facility needs but reports directly to Maintenance supervisor.
Principal Accountabilities
General Responsibilities:
Follow the preventative maintenance program.
Have a full knowledge of plant flow, understand how each piece of machinery works, be able to maintain them, and troubleshoot them.
Must be able to schedule repairs with minimal disrupting of plant operations
To work without independently and without supervision.
Be responsible for preventative maintenance of all machinery and equipment in the preventative maintenance program.
Check and repair the equipment problems reported by the operating units.
Modify or build equipment upon instructions.
Maintain the required parts inventory, tools inventory and maintenance logs per schedules set by management.
Sweep, clean up, and sanitize as needed after all repairs to prepare area for full operation. Never leave welding rods, scraps, parts or tools at job location.
Maintain a clean shop, neat parts inventory and orderly tool boxes.
Repair all leaks in spouts and machines to minimize housekeeping.
Maintain and clean (as needed) all garbage cans and containers.
Safety Duties:
Abide by all OSHA and plant regulations.
Follow all safety regulations regarding lockout/tag out, bin entry permits, and the wearing and use of protective equipment.
Maintain and monitor all safety and security devices on a weekly basis.
Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer.
Cargill requires employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility.
Must be able to perform physical job duties including bending/stooping, climbing ladders, open/close valves, shoveling, pounding with hammer and work in confined spaces.
Must be able to work under special work conditions, such as extreme heat or cold.
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
Ability to work in elevated areas.
Must be able to operate machinery.
Must be able to read/write English.
Basic computer skills.
Able to work overtime.
Ability to work holidays, nights, weekends or different shifts.
High School diploma or Equivalent.
Basic computer skills.
Prior experience in production related work.
Forklift certified.
Able to operate heavy equipment.
Able to perform maintenance trades including welding, pipe fitting, and fabrication, rigging systems, gearbox and bearing, maintenance, lubrication, pumps and piping systems, mechanical maintenance and hydraulic and pneumatic.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
