Shift Lead - 3rd Shift

This Full time position is located in Saint Marys, Ohio; however please expect receiving calls from a 952 number in case you are considered. Relocation assistance is not provided.
The Shift Team Lead will assist in leading all plant operations on their shift including staffing, housekeeping, product quality, and food and plant safety while meeting or exceeding our customer needs. The Shift Team Lead will support other company associates in all of Cargill business related initiatives at the direction of the Shift Supervisor.
Principal Accountabilities:
Customer Relations:
The Shift Team Lead will perform all responsibilities in a manner which always keeps all customer needs as the first priority.
Ensure the extruders are running the correct product and the products being extruded are in specification; and the 30 min QA checks are being completed and documented.
Ensure the packing technicians are packaging the correct sku scheduled for shift and all packaging QA checks are being performed and documented.
Ensure compliance with QA, Safety and established operational standards.
Monitor required daily paper work accurately and submit to Shift Supervisor before leaving the shift.
Human Resources:
Assist in training employees to operate equipment efficiently and then qualify technicians once they demonstrate they are proficient in operation of the equipment.
Maintenance to review break down and PM work completed in the DDS meeting each day.
Maintenance to provide follow-up in the DDS on status of equipment repairs identified until repairs are completed.
Ensure work orders are filled out and submitted for tracking and scheduling of the work requested.
Sanitation & Housekeeping:
Ensure all technicians, employees and visitors are following St. Marys Sanitation Program and Good Housekeeping Standards.
Complete shift sanitation handoff checklist at the start and end of each shift. This includes a walk through, visual inspection of the facility from the previous and the following shift.
Shift Team Lead is responsible for assisting the monitoring the Sanitation plan for their shift.
Working with the QA techs, monitor Quality Policies and Procedures to assure conformance to all product quality specifications.
Take corrective action as needed to insure quality specifications are achieved at all times.
Help train and develop all plant employees to create an atmosphere that quality is very important.
Monitor and enforce safety programs and procedures
Working Relationships:
Maintains effective and cooperative working relationships with all Pro-Pet LLC Employees.
Works closely with the other Shift Team Leaders, QA Team Leader, Plant Scheduler, Materials Coordinator, Warehouse Manager, Operations Manager and Plant Manager.
Respects the confidentiality of the customer, company and Pro-Pet associate's information, including any company confidential information.
The Shift Team Leader may perform other duties as directed or delegated by the Plant Operations Manager to ensure that the plant runs efficiently, safely, while producing high quality products.

Cargill requires employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility.
Must be able to read/write English.
High School diploma or Equivalent.
Basic computer skills.
Must be able to perform physical job duties including bending/stooping, climbing ladders, open/close valves, shoveling and \pounding with hammer.
Ability to lift a minimum of 60 pounds.
Must be able to work under special work conditions, such as extreme heat or cold.
Ability to work in elevated areas.
Must be able to operate machinery.
Must be able to operate heavy equipment.
Ability to work overtime.
Ability to work holidays, nights, weekends or different shifts
Able to perform physical job duties including work in confined spaces.
Forklift certified.
Prior experience in production related work.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
