Capabilities, Inc. is looking for a hard-working, energetic employee to support individuals with differing abilities in job placement. Capabilities employees also work with community employers to understand the value of hiring people with disabilities, accommodations that are possible, and matching business needs with people's skills.
Requires:
College Degree; Ability to pass background check, drug test and driving record checks.

1. In cooperation with the employers, utilizes and implement programs to train competitive work skills and behaviors at a competitive work site following strategic, systematic, documented approaches. This will be documented in case notes.
2. Assists employers to develop techniques to effectively supervise consumers.
3. Extensive data collection and interpretation as needed through the use of task analysis.
4. Is an advocate for the consumer, both on the job site and off, while respecting the confidentiality of the consumer and employer.
5. May provide transportation to the consumer to and from the work site.
6. Facilities natural supports and positive relationship between the consumer and co-workers and supplements support as needed.
7. Provides any supports or training necessary to maintain employment including travel training/arrangements, interpersonal skills, family or personal support, financial arrangements including assistance with understanding and monitoring as needed.
8. Provides ongoing technical assistance and support to employers and co-workers.
9. Is responsible for maintenance of acceptable standards related to CARF Accreditation, U.S. Department of Labor (Federal Wage and Hour Division) and other regulatory standards as appropriate.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
